Status: Public policy Effective date: 2026-06-16 Last updated: 2026-06-16

1. Purpose

This notice explains how SportPulse handles account deletion, data access, correction, erasure, consent withdrawal, grievances, retained records, and related privacy requests.

Read it with the Privacy Policy and DPDP Notice.

2. Request Channels

You may request account deletion or data rights support through:

  • In-app or web account deletion tools, where available.
  • Support: support@sportpulse.in
  • Privacy contact: support@sportpulse.in
  • Grievance contact: support@sportpulse.in

We may require identity verification before processing a request.

3. Account Deletion

When you request deletion, SportPulse may delete, deactivate, anonymize, or restrict account data depending on the data type, legal requirements, technical constraints, safety obligations, and legitimate retention needs.

Deletion may affect:

  • Login access.
  • Profile visibility.
  • Bookings.
  • Games.
  • Tournaments.
  • Scores.
  • Ratings.
  • Reputation.
  • Chat access.
  • Coaching reports.
  • Venue or organizer roles.
  • Partner access.
  • Subscriptions and entitlements.
  • Payment records.
  • Push notifications.

4. What May Be Deleted or Deactivated

Subject to verification and applicable law, deletion may remove or deactivate:

  • Account login access.
  • Profile data and profile photo.
  • Device tokens.
  • Notification preferences.
  • Certain personal settings.
  • Certain direct identifiers.
  • Certain user-generated content, where removal is feasible and lawful.

5. What May Be Retained

SportPulse may retain data where required or permitted for:

  • Booking records.
  • Payment, refund, invoice, wallet, tax, accounting, GST, payout, chargeback, and reconciliation records.
  • Tournament results, match history, standings, brackets, score records, ratings, and integrity records.
  • Coaching reports, student records, guardian records, and audit logs where retained by a coaching organization or required for legal/safety purposes.
  • Moderation reports, blocks, safety incidents, fraud-prevention records, abuse history, and security logs.
  • Legal claims, dispute resolution, law enforcement, regulatory requests, or compliance.
  • Backups and disaster recovery for a limited period.
  • De-identified or aggregated analytics.

Retention periods depend on the data category, legal obligations, payment-provider requirements, app-store records, tax/accounting duties, fraud and safety needs, dispute history, and technical backup cycles. SportPulse keeps retained data only for purposes permitted by applicable law and internal access controls.

6. Public or Shared Contexts

Some data may remain visible or preserved in shared contexts after account deletion, for example:

  • Tournament scores and standings.
  • Historical match results.
  • Team records.
  • Venue booking records.
  • Chat messages already delivered to other participants, unless removed under policy.
  • Reports shared with guardians or academies.
  • Support and moderation records.

SportPulse may replace your display name with a neutral label where feasible.

7. Subscriptions Before Deletion

Deleting a SportPulse account may not cancel Apple App Store or Google Play subscriptions. You should cancel store subscriptions directly through Apple or Google if you do not want future renewal charges.

SportPulse may be unable to provide subscription access after account deletion, even if the store subscription remains active.

8. Data Access Requests

You may request information about personal data SportPulse processes about you, subject to verification, legal exceptions, trade secrets, security, privacy of others, and technical feasibility.

SportPulse will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law where such a timeframe applies. If more time or information is needed, SportPulse may ask for verification, clarification, or supporting authority.

9. Correction Requests

You may request correction or completion of inaccurate or incomplete personal data. SportPulse may decline changes that would falsify records, scores, payments, attendance, disputes, moderation, or audit logs.

10. Erasure Requests

You may request erasure of personal data. SportPulse may retain data where required or permitted by law, including for service completion, legal compliance, fraud prevention, disputes, safety, accounting, tax, security, or legitimate platform integrity.

11. Consent Withdrawal

Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw consent. Withdrawal does not affect processing already completed before withdrawal and may limit access to features requiring the data.

Examples:

  • Disabling location may limit nearby discovery.
  • Disabling push notifications may limit real-time updates.
  • Removing profile visibility may limit community discovery.
  • Revoking report-share access may limit guardian or staff report viewing.

12. Guardian and Student Requests

For student or minor data, SportPulse may require proof of guardian authority or academy authorization before granting access, correction, deletion, or report changes.

Where student data is controlled by a coaching organization or academy, SportPulse may coordinate with that organization before acting.
