Safety Waiver and Assumption of Risk

Physical activity risks, venue safety, minor participation, emergency limits, and sports participation responsibilities.

1. Purpose

SportPulse helps users discover, organize, book, play, score, and follow badminton and related sports activity. Sports activity involves physical risk. This document explains user responsibilities, safety expectations, and risk allocation for real-world activities connected to SportPulse.

2. Assumption of Risk

By participating in SportPulse-connected activities, you acknowledge that sports and venue activities may involve risks, including:

  • Slips, trips, falls, collisions, sprains, strains, fractures, and other injuries.
  • Shuttle, racket, net, court, footwear, equipment, lighting, flooring, weather, ventilation, crowding, and facility risks.
  • Health events, exhaustion, dehydration, heat, asthma, cardiac events, and aggravation of existing conditions.
  • Travel, parking, access, crowd, theft, or property damage risks.
  • Conduct of other players, hosts, coaches, organizers, venue staff, spectators, or third parties.

You voluntarily assume risks associated with your participation to the maximum extent permitted by law.

3. Your Fitness to Participate

You are responsible for deciding whether you are physically and medically fit to participate. You should not participate if:

  • You are injured, ill, dizzy, in pain, or medically restricted.
  • You have been advised not to play.
  • You lack suitable equipment, footwear, or supervision.
  • Conditions are unsafe.
  • You are under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or anything impairing safe play.

Seek medical advice before participating if you have health concerns.

4. No Medical Advice

SportPulse is not a medical provider. Ratings, analytics, coaching notes, injury notes, attendance records, performance reports, and app content are not medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, physiotherapy, or emergency guidance.

For injury, illness, pain, emergency, or medical concerns, consult qualified professionals or emergency services.

5. Venue and Event Safety

You must follow:

  • Venue rules.
  • Staff instructions.
  • Tournament rules.
  • Coach or academy safety instructions.
  • Court booking times.
  • Equipment and footwear requirements.
  • Emergency and evacuation instructions.

If a venue, court, event, session, or participant appears unsafe, stop participating and notify venue staff, organizer, coach, or support.

6. Hosts, Organizers, Coaches, and Venue Partners

Hosts, organizers, coaches, academies, and venues are responsible for reasonable safety steps within their control, including accurate event details, safe scheduling, court readiness, appropriate supervision where applicable, emergency planning, and staff conduct.

SportPulse provides software tools and does not automatically inspect, supervise, certify, or control real-world venues, coaches, organizers, players, or events unless expressly stated.

7. Minors

Minors may participate only with parent or guardian consent and appropriate supervision. Parents and guardians are responsible for deciding whether participation is suitable for the child's age, skill, health, maturity, and safety.

Coaches, academies, and organizers must apply additional safeguards for minors.

8. Emergency Response

SportPulse is not an emergency service. In an emergency:

  • Contact local emergency services.
  • Notify venue staff or event staff.
  • Follow emergency procedures.
  • Contact guardians for minors where appropriate.

SportPulse support can receive incident reports after the immediate emergency has been handled, but SportPulse support is not a substitute for emergency services, venue staff, event staff, guardians, or qualified medical professionals.

9. Release and Limitation

To the maximum extent permitted by law, you agree that SportPulse is not liable for injuries, losses, property damage, missed games, venue issues, organizer conduct, coach conduct, player conduct, safety incidents, or third-party acts arising from real-world sports activity, except where caused by SportPulse's breach of a non-excludable legal duty.

This document does not exclude liability that cannot be excluded by law.

10. Insurance

SportPulse does not provide personal accident, health, travel, property, venue, event, coaching, or liability insurance unless expressly stated in writing.

Participants, venues, organizers, coaches, and academies should maintain appropriate insurance.

11. Reporting Incidents

Report safety incidents to support@sportpulse.in with:

  • Date, time, venue, court, game, tournament, or session.
  • People involved.
  • Description of what happened.
  • Injury or damage details.
  • Photos, reports, or witness information if available.

SportPulse may preserve records, notify partners, restrict accounts, or cooperate with lawful investigations.
